The Most Important Tools We Use: A Magnifying Glass & A Checklist
Learn The Criteria We Use To Determine
If A Brand Is Worthy Of Our Customers
It’s easy for exterior remodelers to slap their name on the cheapest products they can find… but not us.
Call us conceited.
Call us persnickety.
But we care too much about our customers and company name to back low-grade products.
That’s why we put the footwork in to find THE BEST products. We scour, search, hike, and journey around the country to find the perfect products to match our standards.
We have to back and install products that hit the mark.
- What good is siding if it won’t last five years in the Colorado Front Range?
- What good is all the service in the world if your window replacements aren’t efficient?
So, you might wonder to yourself, what are the criteria we use to determine whether or not we’ll install a system in your home? Let’s get into that very thing.
The Criteria That Curates Our Product Selection
We’ve distilled our criteria to five crucial aspects that hit products from every angle: coverage, upkeep, our unique geography, performance, and pricing. These factors have led us to brands like Anlin, ProVia, James Hardie, LP SmartSide, and others.
Warranties
If we install a product in your home, we want to ensure you get as much warranty coverage as humanly possible. One easy example is Anlin Windows-Doors. They offer a limited DOUBLE lifetime warranty. This is quite literally the best in the industry because it’s fully transferable to the next homeowner if there is one.
Combined with our lifetime workmanship warranty, your stress and anxiety are removed. You don’t have to worry about these windows anymore. They’re taken care of, and you won’t need to replace them for the rest of your life.
Servicing
Continuing on with our example of Anlin Windows-Doors… they’ve got the resources and network to service their products with speed and efficiency. You won’t have to wait around. And they aren’t going to send some subcontractor, either – they’ll send a professional who knows and understands their products.
We’ve installed thousands, if not tens of thousands, of their windows in homes across the Colorado Springs area and won 11 consecutive service awards. And we have firsthand knowledge of their level of service. It’s great! If a company has great products but lousy support and service, we’ll find a better alternative.
Elevation
Colorado Springs is located at an elevation of around 6,000 feet. This means a few things. First, we deal with a different type of air pressure up here. Second, we’re closer to the sun with a less protective atmosphere to shield UV rays.
These are essential facts when looking at windows or siding (especially on the sun-facing side of your home). We consider this and choose products that stand the test of time in the clouds.
History
We don’t put our name and reputation behind untested, unproven exterior remodeling products with no real history in the Colorado Front Range area. New products appear all the time in our industry, but we’re not early adopters.
Look at James Hardie (the best Fiber Cement), for example. Hardie’s history dates back to the late 1880s after the Civil War. They’ve got over a century of experience in the building products industry. Their asbestos-free fiber cement siding has been installed on homes in our area since the late 1980s.
Value
We describe our selection as “high-value” with “mid-tier” pricing that falls neither at the low nor high end of the spectrum. VALUE is most important, but we’ve worked with hundreds of families and understand what pricing and budgeting mean.
It’s easy to pick the wrong siding Products need to last. They need to look great. They need to do their work without requiring a ton of upkeep and maintenance. They need to provide genuine peace of mind. And, they need to be reasonably priced.
