We Fired One Of The BEST Siding Installers In Colorado Springs For A Simple Reason
This Guy Was As Skilled As They Come…But
He Had One Fatal Flaw We Can’t Tolerate
This is a short story about how we don’t care if an installer is the best thing since sliced bread – if their customer service isn’t on par, they’re done. It’s that simple.
Why are we so strict?
Well, we’re an exterior remodeling company that’s been in business since 1994.
We go back a ways.
Generations of our family have run and managed our company.
So, our reputation means EVERYTHING. And that reputation is based on two things:
- Our exterior remodeling results
- Our customer service
Results and workmanship depend on following strict industry, manufacturer, and coding guidelines. We follow them to the letter with military-grade attention to detail.
But what about customer service? There are no official protocols for treating people.
Where did our approach develop? Our military background. We’ve been veteran-owned since Day One. Army values like Loyalty, Honor, and Duty, and the Air Force creed of “Integrity First, Service Before Self, and Excellence in All We Do” are stamped onto our very souls.
They come first.
We Hired The Best…
Many years ago, probably in the mid-to-late 1990s, we hired an absolutely amazing installer. He was the kind of contractor who was naturally gifted. You know, anyone can get good at playing the piano. It just takes dedication and practice. However, some people possess an exceptional talent that makes it look effortless.
His work had that extra something, the way a savant piano player can add emotion to a melody.
Well, let’s just say he had buckets of skill, especially when it came to Hardie Fiber Cement siding and all the fine detail work and accents involved – window trim, soffit, fascia, etc.
He was everything you want in a skilled exterior remodeling contractor on your team.
- Seasoned
- Systematic
- Fast & Efficient
- Orderly
- Clean
- Thorough
We could send him on a project and know full well that, come final inspections, it would be like looking at a piece of exterior remodeling art.
Then We Had To Fire Him
Here was the problem…the guy had a sailor’s mouth. Swearing to him was as natural as breathing air. Sometimes he would curse every other word. And sure, we’re military folk, so we understand gutteral language.
But what happened the first time we got a call from someone complaining about his speech while wearing our company name on his shirt?
We talked with him and warned him that this behavior was unprofessional. We couldn’t have it.
Alas, it happened again, and we had to let him go.
Was it hard to let go of so much talent over a persistent potty mouth? No. Not…at…all. We’d do it again in a heartbeat because we take customer service as seriously as we took representing our nation in uniform.
We’re serving our community, and the Peakview Windows, Siding & Stucco name is something we protect.
You can count on our employees to be both skilled at their crafts and…
- Respectful
- Considerate
- Mature
- Professional
This is why you could spend the next half-hour reading through a hundred of our five-star reviews, many of which mention our customer-centric approach that’s lead to hundreds of repeat customers every year. For example:
“Their exceptional workmanship was evident from the start…What truly stood out was the friendly and professional nature of the entire Peakview team. They provided excellent service throughout the process, making it a seamless and enjoyable experience… They proved themselves to be an outstanding choice, combining expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.”
